GIANT TREES FELLED BECOME A MOUNTAIN OF WOODCHIPS AT LONGREACH IN TASMANIA.FROM THE MILLIONS THESE CHIPS ARE REMEMBERED IN STERLING SILVER.

These five wood chips were selected from the massive heaps of forest woodchips at Longreach in Northern Tasmania.
They were moulded in silicon rubber and cast by the lost wax process into 925 sterling silver.

Cast in sterling silver, they become the crystallised memory of a forest giant, both a fragment of a tree and a fragment of the Tasmanian landscape.

Each sterling silver wood chip is available either as a brooch, a necklace or a pair of cufflinks.

Sterling silver brooches utilise a unique rare earth magnet to firmly affix the brooch to clothing, avoiding puncture damage caused by pins and clasps and silver necklaces use a 1.2 mm silver snake chain.

Each silver chip is packaged in a presentation box together with a silver polishing cloth
